...Developer.com is currently taking nominations for the best products on the market in a number of key categories. We request that you take a few minutes to nominate the products you believe are the best. ...
How can they request - they may only ask ...

If I made a request of you, all i'd be doing is asking you if you can do it...

Re: Favorite products nomination
No, it's not the same thing - one is polite way of asking and the other is not.
"We request..." sounds strong and irritates the hell of me...
"We would like to ask you please ..." sounds much more better, doesn't it?

Re: Favorite products nomination
Why are you wasting your time on such trivial semantics when we still haven't defeated Dracula and his league of vampire rollerskating prostitutes????
Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you just water down your vodka.
Take credit, not responsibility

Re: Favorite products nomination
In Dracula's Castle (or home town) - Cetatea Poienari is located near the village of Curtea de Arges, about a 2.5-hour train ride from Bucharest (Romania that is).

by the way, that's all anyone else in the states cares about... at least where I come from. In Iowa, if you've been out of the state, you're wierd.

Really? Why is that? Sounds weird to me, though. Move to north-east - many leave in one state but work in another. We often go just for the weekend across two/three states (sort of get away).

Under which category does Sandpaper fall? All VBFers should vote for Sandpaper, as it's a released product and is not under development.
