    Resolved [RESOLVED] Installing Firefox

If I install a new version of Mozilla Firefox, do I first have to uninstall the older version?

Nope, just use the update function in firefox and it will do everything itself

I have a few versions on my PC according to my registry...

depends what version you currently have.
i think you need to for versions 0.8 and below, but anything above should be fine.

That's precisely what I meant... I installed 1.03 on the same directory as 1.01 (without previous uninstall of this one) and according to the registry I now have both.

If you mean the extensions, I used that and the new 1.07 version was downloaded to my hd but then I clicked on the update button and it said it didn't find any update available. So do I have to manually execute the setup file?

Fx should do all the work itself, when you click "Help, About Mozilla Firefox" which version does it say your running ?

It should say 1.0.7 if it has successfully updated.

It's 1.03 but as I said, "Firefox Setup 1.0.7.exe" downloaded to my desktop and stayed there... I tried to place it in "c:\program files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions" but it didn't work either. Nor would it work after I downloaded again the file, this time directly to the extensions folder.

Run the downloaded setup file, it will install 1.0.7, don't worry about the installed 1.0.3 it will overwrite it automatically.

You were right, I installed it successfully and the registry acknowledges only one version.

That's what happened to me the last time I tried. I had to remove them manually
