Ea Fifa 06.
Best place to ask knowing there are plenty of Football fans here, but has anyone played any of the EA FIFA games? 2006 is out today and was thinking of picking it up for the PC.
Thoughts?

I would say yes, but only for a console. PC games are always a disappointment. The controls suck ass and the install is always a pain.
$0.02
I don't live here any more.

I have a USB Playstation style controller for my PC, so control isnt a problem.

It is not as real football, but then again...you don't have to be affraid to get your knee busted by an american, and have to pay $4000 for medical stuff (grr...I am not angry...not angry...at least not yet).

If I had the choice to play for real, I would..believe me.....but I am handicapped so that is out.
I did in my younger days though.

Re: Ea Fifa 06.
Well I have been handicapet the last 2 months after that american managed to rip off two ligements in my right knee too, so no more football for me in a while. And if I have to operate too, then the whole ski season here in the alps is gone too..
But back to topic. It is fun, but only if you play more then one. 4 is GREAT. 2 is ok. One is boring. Doesn't remind too much of real football. To fast, and too weird. But I havn't played 2006 though.

Re: Ea Fifa 06.
I got played at my school. So I ended up in a lot of fights. Street fighting is a good school sport.
They think suspension is a punishment. If anything it's a reward. A paid vacation if anything.

Well you know how ignorant we are.
I learned about 'soccer' being called football in the 9th grade on my first day of French class. Joined the JV 'Soccer' team that year. It is hard for me to say soccer now. But I cant say football around my friends because they think I am talking about American football.
