Mountain Dew
Hmm the way some people go on about it I thought it was a beer but it turns out it's just a soft/energy drink. Is it like red bull? If so it should be consumed with vodka.

Energy drink?
Mountain Dew is best consumed with a pizza. Or with a looming deadline in your coding project.
Please sign the Mountain Dew petition (whether you're from the UK or not, just pretend you are for a minute...)!

The lack of education in this thread is quite depressing.
Regular MD has 39 mg's of caffeine in it, the caffeine free version has (surprisingly) none.

Bawls contains more caffeine than Jolt cola. And Jolt is suppose to be twice as caffenated as MD.

And have you seen the episode of the Simpsons when they go to New York? When homer eats all that Klauh Kalesh?
Homer: Now what do you have to wash that awful taste out of my mouth?
Vendor: Mountain Dew or crab juice.
Homer: Blecch! Ew! Sheesh! I'll take a crab juice...

Perfection:
Going to a nice countryside pub with a new GF on a sunny Saturday in Autumn. 3 pints of Broadside to wash down a big chip cob, then back to her's for a bit of the other and snoozing the afternoon away. Heaven.

But scollop butties piss all over chip cobs. Don't get me wrong, I'm partial to a chip cop every now and again. But you can't beat a good scollop butty. In fact, I'm going to the chip shop to buy two of them right now.

I suppose that would avoid the ever ongoing regional debate.
Yorkshire - Butty
North East - Stotty
Machester - Muffin
Midlands - Cob

Well I said manc but I actually heard the term Chip Muffin from a lad from Rochadale/Oldham.
Wheras we know a Muffin to be either a doughier bread or a sweet bun. Oh Bun is probably used somewhere.
Just to clarify also in yorkshire you could get Chips and a teacake (Note that is different to a Current teacake)

LOL I have mates who insist on taking a loaf of Warburtons on holiday with them because they consider foreign bread rubbish, you know that really dry stuff. What also makes me laugh is when they advertise an English breakfast then present you with a hotdog sausage.
