Common Controls 6.0 (SP6) Out of date (mscomctl.ocx)

I was just running the Package and Deployment wizard to collect the DLLs and OCXs I needed to make an install file with ********** and as I went through the wizard it told me that mscomctl.ocx was out of date and asked me if I wanted to include it.

I need to include it because I am using an image list. All the rest of the common controls listed under the References dialog say MSComCtrl32.ocx, but that is the only one that says MSComCtrl.ocx, should I use v5? Can anyone explain why this is happening?

If the file is out-of-date you need to update your computer to get the latest ocx for that control.

What OS are you creating your installation on and what version of ********** are you using?

I don't know what version of ********** I have (I am not at home right now), but my OS is XP with SP2. I always that that Common Controls 6.0 referenced MSCOMCTL32.ocx. I wonder if some program I installed messed it up and registered an old file and VB is recognizing that. Just a guess though.

Install VB SP6, and it will update most of your controls.

I have SP6. And I have never had this problem before...

Well, If I had your vbp and exe for your vbp file... I could possibly help you.

Its ok EM. No problems. Actually this way you get the best of both worlds. Shortcut in Classic VB and thread in AD.
