    Question Wireless card - PC to PC connection

    Hi,
    this is probably newbie q;
    can I install wireless network adapter cards in 2 PC's in same house and connect them together without router. I'm (at this moment) looking to share internet connection. This is totally isolated.
    The PC's have win XP and a network card I've looked at is the Gigabyte 54MB PCI Wireless Network Card , but if it can be done but needs a different type of card then please could you tell me what to look for?
    Many thanks.

    You can do it, it's called Ad Hoc Mode.

    Here is an arrtcle to get you started, but bear in mind that you can get a brand new 802.11b wireless router for about $10-15 if you look around.

    Also, with Ad Hoc you will not have an internet connection unless you set up a PC with an shared connection and another wireless card.
