    Formula in CR [RESOLVED]

    hi, can someone help me to do this...

    i have 2 tables in my database, table1 (agent table) which contains all the information about agent and table2 (commission table) which has the commissions of the agents. what im trying to do is to get the name of the agent in the agent table where the the Agent ID is equal to the Agent ID in the commission table which is my reference table... can someone help me about the formula or any other way how will i do this... thanx! btw, im using CR 8.5

    Why not just put both tables on your report and link them by Agent Id?

    thanx for d reply... d problem is i have 3 agent id on the commission table... whenever i get the name of the agent for agent ID 1, the same name will be displayed in the name of agent 2 and 3... i dont know how to select in crystal...

    You cannot use Formulas to retrieve a record from the database.

    Link the Commissions table to the Agent table 3 times, once for each Agent Id field.
