Thanks.
BTW by "JET" I mean the Microsoft Access Jet engine
not the airplane.

Oops. I searched a dozen other sites, and couldn't find anything to prove him wrong, and then found a link to the WIKI site. I assumed because I found MS Jet that there was another one.

Re: What does "JET" stand for, if anything?
JET actually referrs to "JET Red" which is the version of JET found in Access.

The term "JET" is frequently also used to refer to JET Red, which is the database engine under Microsoft Office Access. The two JET implementations are completely different, are separately maintained, have a vastly different feature set, and are not interchangeable. Within the Extensible Storage Engine documentation, "JET" refers to the Extensible Storage Engine or the JET API (as ESE implements it). Any references to the JET Red, will always explicitly be labeled "JET Red".
I think it should help.

DaveBo did in post #3. So it would be JET Red we are talking about here.
This may be best in the General Developer forum and not CC.

Sorry, when you mentioned ChitChat I just assumed you misunderstood I was talking databases. Unfortunately, I didn't follow the link you provided or I would have known better.
Thanks. Can I go home now?

Not without a note pinned to your shirt for your parents to read.
I would have never knew that there were 2 different JETs. Maybe the Airline - "JET Blue" is actually a undercover MS subsiderary.
