Program Sound
Is it possible to limit the sound of just my program so that the other programs that are running(like wmp or itunes) still play at the same sound?
This would be VERY helpful
Thx a bunch Messup000

Re: Program Sound
It depends on the SoundCard. Some support multiple sources. My laptop plays background music, but when a beep comes thru, the source stops for a second or two.

Re: Program Sound
Most computers alow multiple sounds to play at the same time.
But it's a software thing, not a sound card problem.
Lets say your sound card would allow only ONE application to play sound at one time.
Then in order to have multiple sounds, windows can open the sound "connection", and mix all the sounds from all the applications into that one connection it has, so therefore even is sound card would not support it, you can go around it (But windows has to go around it).
So, it short, Yes, you should be able to play sounds from multiple programs.

Re: Program Sound
well at the moment its a flash movie thats playing the sound(more like a whole bunch of different games) But what I did do was take the code from a media player for the sound and intergrated it into the program. But the sound isn't just for the program it changes the master sound control instead. Im sure that theres a way to change the sound of the program but im not sure how.

Re: Program Sound
That would be cool but I really just want to be able to either have the sound on or off. I know changing the volume would be a much harder task so no just to beable to "turnoff" any sound coming from my program
