Dear Members,
I am presently in an assignment which requires to send SMS from the PC (Connected to Internet) to the clients mobile (Like SMS Alerts). Where we can get the API or Activex components and how they will charge per SMS.

You can try this link, this company offers activeX controls for sending sms's messages through a gsm modem and through online gateway. its an evaluation copy for a month. i think it can help you a lot, and has various code snippets.

Will that send the messages thru your Internet connection? Can you also do ringtones?

Yea, if u have a provider it can for ring tones i have only tried with binarysms for nokia handsets and it works gr8.

you can use clickatel. i know they have good rates for text messages

I don't know what you mean by a provider. I have a DSL provider, if that's what you mean. I'd like to be able to send a ringtone to a phone. WebSites don't offer that option here in the states.
