[RESOLVED] Notification via ICQ
Here is what I suggest - to be notified about new posts in the topics you have subscribed via ICQ message. This can be easily developed, I think...

Re: Notification via ICQ
It might be easily done. But we do not add hacks to the forum code. So we will not add a feauture like this.
What you can try, is to contact the vBulletin team at one of their home pages, and post about it in thier forums.
Thanks

Re: Notification via ICQ
Another thing is to set up and use Yahoo messenger with a yahoo mail account. That way when you get an email notification the messenger will pop up that you have new mail from VBF.

I'm using ICQ and Outlook Express. What I will do is to make Outlook Express check my mail every 5 min

Re: Notification via ICQ
Doesn't OE auto notify you of new messages? I believe there is a option for that, or it may be server-side with your ISP.

No, it deosn't. You can just set an interval in which it checks, but you can set it 1 minute. I think that is the shortest interval you can set.

Re: Notification via ICQ
Oh OK.
I use MSN and my VBF email is my Hotmail account. Instant notification. So that's an alternative, like your suggestion of Yahoo.

Re: Notification via ICQ
I forward my gmail to my hotmail account. Trillian notifies me of hotmail and aim mail. If I click it, the browser goes right to the Hotmail page, bypassing the login screens.

I thought that was a bug that they discovered a few months ago? It still works though.
