Except the ones we've already rejected.

So far the winner is SpeedDemon, but I'd like to hear what other people have to say.

I should put a [Serious] tag so the ideas aren't bogus.

Sounds good. GRRR. I'm racking my brain. I used to be good at coming up with names. Long story but it basically has to do with an RPG I used to plany and everyones obsession with having a cool acount name. I wonder if I have the notebooks around with all the names I came up with. I'll take a look.

    Using synonyms: SwiftFiend

    WAIT! I've got it: Swift

Sounds cool... smoothe... obviously means speed. You like?

I got a better one. Super Sonic. Or how about Hyper Fusion, since we are fusing the syntax of different languages.

    Riiiight.

I like Fusion, but I think we need something other than sonic/swift/hyper before it.

Nah, a little too big. We want smooth and sleak. Hmmmm. I don't like Sonic Fusion because I think Sonic the Headgehog. SwiftFusion isn't too bad I guess.

When I think of Sonic Fusion, I think of a band.

How about Sharp Fusion? Somewhat a MS style name without the # crap.

Light Fusion still pwns all those names. Besides, the name alone can make one hell of a splash screen.

Well I like Lightfusion, as one word and abbreviated to Lf as needed

    The rest were a joke

You need an image for the product. The name then comes with the image. e.g. MS's .NET - Internet, connectivity, portability, OO, etc. -> .NET. Makes sense?

    I disagree.

    + is a mathematical operator.
++ is a part of the C and Cpp standards, which have nothing to do with MS.
    # is musical notation that denotes the tone halfway between the base note and the one above it.
    I didn't post .NET

So, you shouldn't rule out things too quickly.

Quite apart from the MS or Non MS style names discussion, fascinating as it is , did you see this post?

The name isn't important. It'll come, once your product builds into something distinct.

Lightfusion as one word does sound very catchy.
