Get rid of annoying Outlook messages

Is there a way one can write your own code that stop the popup window when your application attempt to send a mail?

I can use Express ClickYes, but would like to write my own method taking care of this.

I felt the need to comment on this even though I don't really have a solution. Microsoft added that feature to Outlook to help guard against worms and other malware sending e-mail without a user's permission. If there was an easy way to circumvent it then that would defeat the purpose. Microsoft has been roundly criticised for the lack of security in its software, and Outlook has been blamed for a large portion of the spread of worms in recent times. That "annoying" popup window is designed to protect the user and the e-mail using population in general.

I agree with you jmcilhinney.

It would be cool if MS itself distributed a licensed little tool one could use to automatically send mails, controlling the "problem". But on the other hand that is what anti-virus software is for.

No wait..this can easily result into one long debate, and face it...There is no real "right" or "wrong" to the idea of automated mails.

In my case, my application is completely innocent, sending mails to employees, but using the same code, I could send out trillions of mails with the click of a button.

In VB6 we could write Add-Ins for Outlook. When we did that it would make available the Outlook Application object instance in the OnConnection procedure. This instance was the only Trusted instance and would eliminate most of the popups. I never had a project that needed to send emails from an add in and its been a while since I wrote one in VB6 but I dont think the Send ing popup was something that was surpressed.

The security dialog is secure from any access to the message stream so you cant try to dismiss it via code.
