Dang Merri, yours is awesome. I'm curious how RD's will turn out. So far mine is a load of crap. I mean, everyone thinks theirs looks bad, but mine is. You guys saw the screen shots on the last page.
This is a great theme for this month though. The only holiday is Labor Day and that doesn't leave many options for avatars. At least the next few months are figured out for us.
PS - The first month I was here was July, did you guys do themes before then? I remember JR, RD and I kinda sparked up July into an avatar theme instead of just a couple people doing it, so I am guessing there weren't many people taking part in this type of thing before then. Am I correct?

Yes, your correct. We did do the holiday themes last year but not during the regular months.
