    Re: Spread the word! Firefox.

I made the design and did the most work to make things run. I've written a few articles as well and I keep the blog up to date often. We got the hosting for free, the whole Finnish localization team is behind the site. It got pretty hot in the news after we opened it, even though the site wasn't ready (and still isn't, we do it on our free time after all).

The page authors are hidden in meta tags.

Deer Park Alpha2 is better than firefox, even though its still in alpha. You can use normal firefox extensions with deerpark.

Weirdly enough, Deer Park is branded as Firefox in localized builds

Penagate: the Firefox forum is now the forum of Mozilla.fi, moved it there It is a all-in-one site. Atleast it will be once it is finished.

Interesting tr333, I was under the impression Deer Park, ah, was Firefox

Merri: Cool, maybe we should start a list of all Firefox resources (in the first post perhaps)? The main ones, and then all the localised websites and forums.

I've converted about 6 users, who never looked back, with the exception of my father, who had barely gotten used to IE. The only time he uses it is when he clicks on it accidentally

It's an alpha release. As the whole thing's open source anyway, why bother with closure?

    Re: Spread the word! Firefox.

Well I guess I can post my Fx buttons here agian. Most of them look like crap. I could make a small button to the right that has a link to this "tell us about it" thread.

I think I have converted 2 people directly and maybe a few others by just mentioning it. With 1 person, I was sitting on their computer and while they were in the other room I DLed Fx and installed it and when they came back I told them I had helped them more than they could imagine and I told them which I icon to click from then on out.

Fx is becoming kind of a cult phenomenon like Google. I think google is a little more evil, but they are both still awesome.

I've converted my whole Counter-Strike Source clan to use FireFox. The search function makes it easier to find match demos when trying to download them (on the page they are stored, for example, like this: 200509051805_auto_referee_de_dust2.dem, meaning 9th of may 2005 at 6:05pm).

She (or he?) has been around posting for a while, but only comes to CC. She seems to be somewhat of a mystery. I don't think she has ever started a thread either, but I could be wrong.

OK Rob. Tell us all about why IE is so much better than Fx All the extra spyware you can get from it that you just somehow can't in Firefox. All the hundreds of wonderful little security holes that the Mozilla developers forgot to include.

    easy.
use Fx for the main browser, and place a shortcut on the desktop for accessing the bank website through IE.

That'd be great I might make one in the style of Sfx's "Get Firefox" button, so the images ad looks a bit better. Then we can have 3 styles to choose from
