Where Are Things Like Google Search Strings Stored
As the thread title indicates, I'm interesting in finding out where/out things like the search strings that you type into Google are stored locally.
Whenever I go into Google and start typing I get a whole dropdown list of stuff that starts with whatever I'm typing. I decided I'd clean that out, but I've searched the cookies folder and the registry and there are somethings that just keep appearing now matter what I clean off my local PC.

Did you clear your history? I think that is where the autocomplete info is saved.

Which browser?
Firefox: Tools->Options->Privacy->Saved Form Information->Clear.
IE: Tools->Options->Content->Autocomplete->Clear Forms; Clear Passwords.

You can also delete individual items when the list is visible (for IE at least) by selecting them and pressing delete/backspace.
