MS AntiSpyware and Tracking Cookies

Can you set Microsoft AntiSpyware to detect Tracking Cookies?
These are about the only bits of spyware that I seem to get but MS misses them every time in the nightly scan.
AdAware and SpyBot each pick up several in the browser caches.

TBH i wouldt use Microsoft Antispyware just yet. As it is still in BETA mode there are a few issues with the program, and it doesnt seem to performe as good as Adaware, Spybot S&D, and CrapCleaner.

To put it blunt, no i dont know how to get rid of tracking cookies, but i sure one of the otheres do.

TBH, I also do not know about the cookies, however, when PcWorld tested many of the spyware cleaners, including Adaware and Spybot, it beat them all. Also what they pointed out, and what I personally observed, is that those other programs give the appearance of working better by listing each and every item as spyware whereas Microsoft Antispyware would list a group. Therefore, it looks like Adaware found more spyware when in fact it did not.

Fair enough, but MS does a scan every night and finds nothing, yet whenever I run AdAware I always find tracking cookies.
MS AntiSpyware is good for monitoring system changes as it can run in the background.
Im not entirely sure how much system resources it takes up

Agreed, I actually do not let Microsoft Antispyware run in the background as I have enough memory hogs running in the background already. The only thing the background program did that was nice was to notify me if a program tried to register for startup and allow me to block it. I have a tiny little free program that does the same thing and takes up almost no memory. I kill all tracking cookies at least once daily with WindowsWasher which is excellent.

I'm using Hitman pro, a shell around several anti spyware programs(spybot adaware,spyblaster....) This in combination with hijjackthis is for me the best way to keep the real trash out..
And I would not be surprised if PCworld and microsoft are somehow related finacially.

I doubt seriously that PCWorld and Microsoft are at all related. The majority of the reviews for Microsoft products are less than flattering, they voted Firefox the best product of the year and they do nothing but complain about the holes in internet explorer.
