[Serious]My Cat
My cat keeps biting my mother, every couple of weeks with no reasons. My mom will be doing work and the cat will run up and bite her. I have no idea, and all i can do is beat the crap out of her. I think thats the only way to teach her, am i right? She doesnt bite me anymore because i beat the daylight out of her. My mom wants to put her to sleep, and im running out of ideas...

Is there any pattern to what your mum is doing when your cat bites her?

There's no need to beat the crap out of your mother every time she gets bitten.
Maybe your cat is allergic to some item of clothing or there's some lemon detergent or something. Cats don't like citrus.

Re: [Serious]My Cat
If your cat is a kitten it could just be her being playful, and putting the cat down is extremely cruel. Should give her to a shelter where the cat can be re-housed.

Just grab the cat by the scruff of the neck. Instinctively they go numb as that is how their mother grabs them with their teeth. Hence if the cat moved while in her mothers mouth her mother would rip open her neck which is why they don't move a muscle when grabbed like that.
Your cat will soon get the idea

Re: [Serious]My Cat
Its a very bad idea to pick up and adult cat by the scruff of the neck because the weight of an adult is many times that of a kitten. You are only going to piss it off, and it WILL struggle, I promise you that, you'll end up with bits of your face hanging off.
I suggest rattling some tinfoil at it. They really hate the sound of tinfoil *true*

Re: [Serious]My Cat
It was only meant as a suggestion for kitten, apologies for not making it very clear.

Re: [Serious]My Cat
Hey my wifes cat does the same thing but to everyone. She seems to be playing though. She runs down the hallway as your walking and attacks your feet from behind. Then if you try to grab her she jams away. Kind of like a "Cat-Drive-By".

Re: [Serious]My Cat
use a rolled up newspaper and give your mother a firm - but controlled - smack across the nose everytime it happens. She'll soon learn to stop objecting to the cat bites

I have a large dog and he doesnt like the cat. Already bit the cat in the eye when she tried to eat from his food bowl. Had to take the poor cat to the cat hospital. Cost big $$$
