Ahhh....Thanks, now to do some investigating into qb7. By the way, how come QB version numbers go from like, 1.0, to 4.5 to 7.1? I have never seen any other versions, but why do they have the big jumps?

    Well....

I once had QB 1.0 al the way thru to 7.1 (including 2.0, 3.0, etc) but I don't think they released 5.0 or 6.0...

    Indeed.

I hadn't looked before, as this thread is quite old - but as it was brought to my attention I did what was required to keep it in line with the AUP.

ah well i wonder how many old threads still are in conflict with the AUP. Thats kinda funny. I always thought it odd though when I was learning QB I downloaded it off a computer at school. I was informed it was "illegal". WHAT? Do you think microsoft cares? Where could I "legally" purchase it anyway? CompUSA?

There are over 2 million posts on the forums.. I'm certainly not going to spend my time reading them all

Like it or not, taking a copy of copyrighted software (or other items) is illegal. If you want to use it, try buying it via online auction sites or similar.
