PC to PC connection
I brought a USB to USB DirectLink cable . this is used to connect to PC's in a Peer to Peer network . The cable came with a driver too . Instaled the driver on both the machines and connected the cable . It was recognised in both the PC's as a new piece of hardware but then nothing . The software called "Genelink" that came with the cable for transferring data says that the "Device is not Loaded".
Has anyone used this cable to connect PC to PC successfully ?? any help would be appreciated .

Re: PC to PC connection
Set the IP in one to 192.168.1.0, and the other to 192.168.1.1.
Make sure the workgroup name is the same on both.
Then in Network Connections, set up a Network using the wizard.
This will turn things on. You also have to set drive shards on each machine to be able to share files, unless you copy things to the shared folder (just drag a folder to it)

You mean 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2?
