In my app I would like to dynamically change the height of a label so that it is just tall enough to show all the text of the caption. I think that in order to do that I need to be able to determine the number of lines of text in the caption. Does anyone know how to do that, or does anyone have a better way?

It was suggested that I simply set the label's AutoSize property to True, but that will not work because while I want to vary the height, I need to maintain a fixed width for the label.

    Hi,
I think if you set autosize to TRUE this will set the height and you can still set a new width and for the label still keeping its height.

Thanks, you're absolutely right, I just never thought of that.
