how to forward an ip address
hi,
Sorry for posting in the wrong forums but i need your help.
How to forward an IP Addresss? My modem is Alcatel Home Plus511e.

I don't understand. If you use your IP address, it will BE your machine.
Please expain what you want.

I want to ping my my computer outside the world if it is posible.

You can do that, just as long as your computer is connected to the internet.
Just turn on anonymous requests in your router (if you use one) and forward any ports.
Also be sure to check your firewall software.
Is that what your looking for?

You would generally ping the router to see if the network is up. You may have to turn it on, as was said before. I don't permit anyone to ping my system that is outside the network.
