ABIT KD7 or NF7
I had a KD7-RAID that died.
I bought a KD7 off eBay as a replacement, but the shop turned around and said they didn't have it any more??!!
They offered me some other motherboards as a replacement (weirdly 3 of the 4 were of a different socket type??)
The only Socket A (462) they offered was the ABIT NF7.
Anyone know how this compares to the KD7?
Better/Worse? Older/Newer?
Will it work with my current setup?
Motherboard: ABIT KD7 RAID
CPU: AMD Athalon 2 GHz (Socket 462)
Graphics Card: ABit Siluro FX5200 DT
2x 256 MB DDR 266 PC2100U RAM from Crucial
Maxtor 54098U8 40 Gb hard drive
PSU: ATX Switching Power Supply 400W
Windows XP Professional

If you don't need RAID then I think that the NF-7 is a better choice. It can support a faster processor and RAM (making it upgradable) and dual channel DDR RAM.
All of your hardware looks compatible. Do you have a K7 processor?

Re: ABIT KD7 or NF7
I can't remember offhand, but Im fairly sure it must be a K7 processor, since it came with the KD7-RAID.
I might try and get something extra out the shop if I can, since they didn't give me what I asked for.
Don't ask, don't get!
