    Well, the time has come to move away from Windows!

    Well, I have now decided to run my whole house on Linux (Even the kitchen sink )
    All 4 of the computers in my house are now on Linux and I'm proud, no more Microsoft!! WOOOOO!

    I tried using some Linux tools instead of Microsoft ones - e.g. OpenOffice. It's got some nice features, but it's missing soooo many of the nice and cool features of Microsoft Office that I actually found it unusable after a few days.

    kindof, but I've decided to try Wine and attempt to run VB6 on it

    I just like the features of Gimp, Tux, OpenOffice.org is great BTW

    If you are used to VS then it is a big step down at the moment...they are still working on the form designer in MonoDevelop. So at the moment it is more like a fancy text editor that can keep kontroll of your files for you... It has some templates though, but that is about it..

    At least you don't have to compile it using comand line...

    The only reason I would use it is to get services running on a linux box. I would develop the code in VS and then attempt to compile onto linux...

    Yeah, that works...all ready tested.....But I am more or less working in Linux or Solaris at work every day...so I have no other option then monodevelop..
