Weird problem with icon in systray & Message Boxes

I had to reload my computer and reinstall VS .NET. Now in one of my programs I created and all new programs anytime I send a string to the message box I don't get anything inside the message box. Also my icons in the system tray for anything I made in the past or make new has a black box around it.

I tried changing my color depth down then back up but this did not solve the problem. Does anyone out there have any ideas why this is happening.

Have you got McAfee antivirus (Enterprise version)?

This has a known bug which causes crap like this to happen. My work machine has this problem. Messageboxes, listboxes, comboboxes you name it, all blank.

yea my work machine has VirusScan 8i installed on it. Is there a workaround for this bug? Should I disable virus scan and reinstall .Net?

BTW: My list boxes and combo boxes work correctly. So far all it's effect is my system tray icon and message boxes.

You could just disable/uninstall mcAfee and test it.
