Wierd Behavior
Just moved. shut down the computer (usually left it on) and when I set it up in the new house, my "default" printer won't hold its setting.
Running Windows XP-home. Before anyone says go to Start-Control-Printers-Set default. I have done that a dozen times. Every time I boot the computer.
Any ideas?

Well what is it setting the default printer to?
Also is your default printer an Auto detected printer? If it is, it's possible for some reason it's not being detected immediately upon start up, you could try adding it manually and setting the manually added one as default.
I say this because if your default printer isn't present windows xp will automatically change the default printer.

Re: Wierd Behavior
Thanks, I'll try that.
It isn't setting any printer as a default and I have 4 of them installed. The ink-jet and the laser HP are both auto detect. I'l reinstall them.
