    So many stupid video formats/codecs.

    I just hate the wide vareity of video formats out there, I think its all useless and redudant.

    Excluding streaming video, it should be:

    OGM's
    and
    DIVX/AVI's

    Thats it!

    No additional audio or video codecs, filters or other useless crap.

    DIVX is fine as it is. So are OGMs.

    Something always stems from something but dont quote me that , so what am saying is it might take all kinds to find one good one,and then it all starts over again ...progress

    This seems more appropiate in the chit-chat forum because it's a discussion topic, not a question topic.
    I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

    Well the problem is between all these codecs I don't see much improvement (quality or size reduction) over the original DIVX.

    And sometimes the codecs/codec packs will conflict with each other.

    The only improvement is the OGM codecs that allow multiple audio streams.
