I must have missed the boat when it left the harbor.. or i just missed a certain *special* meeting... but i dont get it..
I have a freind..and he has a gilrfriend..and my friend does the most discousting things that a guy could ever do in front of a girl.. he burps.. he scratches his balls and his ass in front of her... picks his nose...they could be sitting somewhere together and he FARTS! right next to her..and then laughs like a retarded chipmunk about it!
She is a responsible..clean person... (from what i can tell)
And what me and my other friends can tell..is that she is not a loser like this guy is...
Now i also know that once you become close to your significant other... certain things are allowed..i wouldnt know personally because i dont have a significant other...
So what possess a woman who is succsessful..to get involved with a dirty slob!

All I can think is that his good qualities outweigh the "dirty slob" qualities. Who knows why some people are attracted to others?
Maybe she is one of those people who just always go for the wrong person. My sister goes for men that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole...and she shouldn't either.
As far as certain things being allowed once you have a SO...that is true to a certain extent but I don't think I could deal with the type of behaviour you described in your friend without having to say something!

Could be that opposites attract....
Could be that she needed an ego boost herself, so she found someone so awful that made her look wonderful...
Could be that she is tired of the way she lives...
Could be that she's on a mission to change him...
Could be that she has such a low ego that she doesn't think that she can do any better...
Maybe that's what her father was like....(women tend to select men like their father)
Could be that she actually likes him for some unknown reason...
What does she do when he makes disgusting sounds or actions? Does she look disgusted or does she laugh with him?

well, I kind of am, I admit to doing it to, but I wasn't really stereotyping the whole gender..
but it seems like 90% of the girls that date in my school, are going out with *******s..
of course this is a blind guess since I don't know everybody in my school....
Well, I'm a hypocrit, I do hate it when people stereotype, but I do it myself.... but the stereotyping that I don't like, can really hurt somebody's feelings..
it's not that mine can't, but it's a little less likely since I don't do it often....

yeah, I know,
but, to correct myself... 95% of all girls I see, that are going out with somebody, well that somebody is a jerk....
Ok, hope I didn't say anything stereotypical, prejudice, biased or any other naughty things.....

Well...since girls outnumber guys in the world's population and 95% of them are already dating jerks...that must mean that there are less than 5% non-jerks for these girls to choose from....not very good luck for the girls in your school I'd say!

Sorry Katie!! heh
Well smh... i did notice one time..when the guy in question farted right next to her..that she kind of looked at him out of the corner of her eye..sort saying like "What the hell?" but now it seems like it dont bother her..
Actually..me and another friend were saying that she must have been in a abusive relationship..or some real terrible ****...that is why she takes this discousting behavior.
Another thing that surprises me... is that this guy cheated on her...and the girl he was cheating on her with..became pregnant by him!!!!! yet this girl stayted with him... weeeerid
I agree with dennis... i see many good looking/smart women..with dumbass..fat overweight slob of a boyfriend, that beat them and treat them like ****...then i think "why is she with that guy! i could treat her way better than that" ..then i come to realize that if she is staying with this guy in the first place after the beating and mistreatment... i dont want anything to do with her.. who knows how messed up she is ..to stay and take **** like that.

Sounds like this girls has as many problems as your friend does. Maybe they were meant for each other....very weird!

It could be that they were meant for each other, but I still don't think it's right, even if she deals with it, she shouldn't have to be abused and cheated on

I would guess that she is Kathryn Barr (OK I know she is) therefore barr, k or barrk.
Katie, did you pick barrk as a jokey nod at canines? I think I would have gone for katieb - much more Girl Power!

I was in a relationship where my boyfriend cheated on me all the time when I was in highschool. I just ignored the fact that he was cheating on me because I thought I loved him. YEAH...WHAT A LOOSER! If someone cheats on you once, they're going to do it again. Loose their sorry arse!
(I dated this guy for 4, (count em) 4 years)
After I dated this guy, I expected guys to cheat on me, so my mind was really screwed up. If a 'nice guy' ever asked me out, I would break up with him right away because he was 'too nice'. I almost split up with Mike, because he was 'too nice'. Then one day, he finally yelled at me because I did something really stupid. Then from there on, I new that he could be harsh when needed, so he wasn't 'too nice' and all.
So, this may be her problem too.

But, when Mike wasn't the 'too nice' of a guy, I could stay with him then.
You know what.....I think that 'too nice' guy has been really busy lately though, because I don't get to see him as much as I used to.
Oh, yeah...I forgot....we've been together for 3 years now, so that guy died right?
Ha Ha
JK - he's still nice to me.

I understand what you're saying completely Shanea. I don't want my husband to be nice to me all the time either. I rely on him to give me reality checks once in a while...to tell me what I need to hear, even if it isn't really what I want to hear sometimes.

Well, this is what one woman thinks about women. You should take it with a pinch of salt I think, but there's probably some truth in it.

That lady is a complete PSYCHO! I would really like to tell her what I think of her article. Apparently, her attitude towards other women has caused her not to actually meet any decent women, which don't fit her description. I wouldn't want to be anywhere near her, because she would probably tick me off so bad that I would want to punch her, and I'm just not like that.
What can be so bad in your life that you write an article like that?

She's not stupid, she's just opinionated. The rest of her site is basically more of the same, how people do things that she thinks are stupid. Teenage mothers, pro-lifers, everyone gets the same treatment.
Feel free to write to her, she'll probably just put your letter up on the site and take the piss though
Maybe there's nothing wrong with her life. I'm not saying she's right in her opinions, but she's entitled to think and say whatever she likes if you ask me. Did you read any of the other articles? I don't necessarily agree with her, but it's interesting to see a different viewpoint. And hers is pretty different

I didn't say she was stupid, but she seems to be a very negative person. I don't care for negative people, because if I'm around a negative person, I start to act the same way.

I know you didn't call her stupid, sorry, I didn't mean to imply that. You have to admit she writes well though. Some of it's very funny (in my sick and twisted opinion) too. This is part of a phone converstion with her aunt on hearing what her aunt had named her daughter:
MB: Oh, God, Riley is so trashy. Why don't you just hand her over to the porn industry to raise?
Aunt: That's a really rotten thing to say. Besides, we're spelling it R-Y-L-E-E. That makes it classier.
MB: Oh, sure, if the class you're trying to rise above thinks a double-wide trailer is luxurious.
There's something in that that just makes me laugh out loud That's just how my SOH works though I guess.
Harry.
