How to add a monitor?
Hi
I want to add a monitor so I can work with two monitors. But I can only plug one into my graphics card. I own a second PC, both connected to the network, and I want to use that monitor.
Is it possible to add such a second monitor through the network, and what programs do I need?

Never heard about anything like that, but you could take the video card out and put it into the other system its a PCI card
or have an available AGP slot. Other the two video cards you would need to get a card that supports dual monitors.

Re: How to add a monitor?
Sadly its not a PCI card, both are AGPs. But I cant image that this simply is impossible.
If u think about it, it's not that hard. It would only need a server program simulating a graphics adapter on the Host system, while the client receives the information and displays it.
I heard of USB to VGA adapters which do exactly this except they dont need a client system. So simulating a graphics card is possible.
Anyone knows more?

You could also always just buy a new GFX card with two monitor outputs VGA & DVI and just buy a DVI to VGA adapter. If you don't play games, then a cheapo card will work fine.
I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
