Have you tried this already:
.Contacts CInt(txtCust.Text)
Because you did not reply me about this in your other topic. It should work, the convert integer method turns the string into a normal value.

Yes i tried it but still got a type mismatch error.Can it be maybe that my data types is incorrect in my parameter tab in my dataenvironment.Remember i gave my parameter as a ?.What must my data types look like?

Have you tried to change your parameters into something other than ?. Maybe %.
