    Need help with the data format

    Hi,

    I have field of currency in my table. And when the debit is greater than credit, mytot shows a bracket around that number which is fair enough that shows it's in negative area. My question is how to turn it off so that it doesn't show any negative or bracket or anything.

    All I want is a pure number like $500 not ($500) if the mytot goes in negative.

    Is there a way to do this? your help is very appreciated.

    You could format the amount before it is saved into your database to remove the negative (-) or brackets (). HTH
