    Arrow recylce bin problem

    there is a folder that won't leave my recyle bin. it might of been here for 3 months now and i think nothing of it, but i would finally like to get rid of it and figured this would be the place to ask for help. the folder in the bin is EV2BEVW3 when i got to empty the bin, everything gets deleted...but this. an error message comes ups...cannot delete search[1]: cannot find the speficied file. make sure your specify the correct path and file name. ..any help on delteing this from my recycle bin would be greatly appercaited..thanks - justin.

    What happens when you try to restore the file. Does that fail with a similar error?

    yees sir. when i hit restore it ask me abt replace a folder thats already there, and i say yes. then the same error from before, and thats it. any idea...? i tried googling it and not much help there i guess...-justin

    It is most probably due to illegal characters in the file name. You should go to the command line and delete the reccle bin folder manually as detailed here:

    You could try running Disk Cleanup and getting it to empty the recycle bin, that actually worked for me when I had a similar problem to yours.
    I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)
