Email access
Hi Folks,
Could this forum be made accessible through email? I am thinking something along the lines of usenet. Instead of having to login, why not have an interface that can be simply done through email. If the users wish to browse, they are welcome to it.
Cheers,
Abhijit

Re: Email access
Like a mailing list? I certainly don't want to receive 400 emails a day!

Re: Email access
Why do you wanna subscribe 2 thread on every forum?

Not possible or feasible... It would be so much slower!

Re: Email access
What you can do, is when you subscribe to the forum in the Forum Tools menu in the top right of the forum listing, is to choose a daily digest.
This will cause you to receive an email each day, listing the new threads and updated threads for the forum you are subscribed to.

Re: Email access
Search for RSS feed. That may be an alternative

You mean the RSS feed that still doesn't exist, that people have been asking for since the last major upgrade, that keeps getting put off due to "more importaint" things?
You mean that RSS feed?

Re: Email access
Yup, I second that. I do not know where the RSS feed is present.

I remeber days when VB-ZONE.com on DEVX was not a "typical" forum but rather "news group" so you can easily link it to your Outlook Express. It was actually very convenient ... If that's what you're asking then it's not going to happend, I'm afraid.

The RSS feeds were turned on a long time ago (okay, a couple of months). If you need help taking that foot out of your mouth, let me know.
