[RESOLVED] DotGNU for linux
Has eanyone tested it. I tried installing Mono, but it gives me more headacke (SP?) then I care for right now. But it looked nice with a nice GUI. But I can't see that DotGNU has an IDE at all. Doesn't it? Am I stuck with Emacs for ever here? Or what do others use?

Re: DotGNU for linux
I just read throught the DotGNU Portable.NET FAQ's and it didn't say anything about an IDE. In fact, there were instructions there for doing command line compiling of your C# programs.

Yeah, but mono also has a command line compiler, and VS too, so I was hoping. Grrrr, why can't the mono IDE just install on my machine. I am starting to get fed up by command line stuff all the time..

Re: DotGNU for linux
Well, I found out how to apt-get it after a while... ....just took me 99999 searches with google, and there it was..
For furuther reference:
Add this to your sources.list file:
deb http://mirrors.kernel.org/debian unstable main non-free contrib
then do:
apt-get update
apt-get install monodevelop
I have also been looking at a lot of other stuff if people is interested.
Plugin for Emacs:
