Hi there,
Well, I am trying to capture all files before they are spooled to the printer from all applications running on my system, and analyse their properties such as color / grayscale, A4/A3 etc...
I need it so that I can automatically generate an invoice from the information given the specs.
I cannot find anything on this topic, and would really appreciate some help.
Thanks in advance.

if you have ever selected "Print to file" from the printing commondialog in a program, and then opened the file, you will see that the file is (at first sight) a load of garbage symbols, impossible to read by eye. I think the way it works is by streaming this file into the printer's on-board memory directly. its going to be very difficult to unravel it. if anyone knows otherwise please let me know.
