    Labtop monitor

    Hey i got an old broken labtop. I was just wondering how a laptop monitor works? I suppose it similar to a regular monitor but i though i might double chek with yall any way. So my question is to you think it would be possible (with some experimenting of course) to be able to hook up the cables going into the labtop to a standard 14 monitor cabel? and use the labtop's monitor as a regualer monitor? I suppose it may depend on the type of labtop. any way is this feasable or does the labtop cables carry the signal differently.

    Does your laptop not have a VGA port on the back?

    it would be possable, but it depends on the moniter. i beleive they sell adapters thay change the ribin cable type (laptop moniter) to a VGA type (looks like a inverted serial port), but not sure.
