TouchPad Scrolling
Since I've reinstalled Windows, my touchpad has been acting strangely while using Firefox. If I try to scroll down a page, the cursor turns into an image like I pressed down on a mouse wheel, but there is no mouse wheel to turn.
It scrolls fine in other apps, and says that it works in supported apps. It is a Syanptics Touchpad V 5.8 on PS/2 Port.. It has a wheel in the mouse configuration.
Any way to tell it that I have no wheel so I can scroll again?

Re: TouchPad Scrolling
There are KB articles on MSDN about mouse drivers and wheel behavior. Some new drivers actually do not work well with the wheel. I've seen articles in regard to MSFlexGrids - but maybe you can find something else out there...

Re: TouchPad Scrolling
Thanks, I'll take a lool. Also going to see if I have an old driver available on a CD.
Arrgh. Went to HP's site, tried an old driver, and have the same problem.
Any other ideas?
Thanks.

Re: TouchPad Scrolling
I just did a format and re-install of everythng. I suppose it couldn't hurt anything, but seems like a lot of work for something that most likely won't have any effect. I may start trying other pointing devices for drivers. It worked before, except that it was scrolling code windows, too.
Come to think of it, it would go crazy every once in a while when I would scroll a very long list of favorites. It wouldn't stop scrolling!
