Some question on ASCII(i think)
Hi Guys!
I've got a question. How do you guys get all those special character words like the copyright logo( Don't know what is the combination for that) and this special type of A --> Å(alt + 6 + 5 + 4 + 3). I know some young kids know all sort of combinations already except me and it's kind of embarassing for me.
Do you know how where can i get a chart some where on the net that will show me all those ALT + X + X + X combinations to get a special character and is it called ASCII? This i'm not too sure. Correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks!

Re: Some question on ASCII(i think)
i dont think that is what he wants though... he is asking how to eassily print those characters.
anyway what i and dglienna failed to mention is that you can use the chart like what dglienna gave you and just press ALT and the numbers next to the character you want.
ALSO... each font has their own uniqe characters, so if you go into the character map you will beable to choose what font you want to pick the characters from

That character map really help but is there a code for it like when i press ALT + something I will get the character i want instead of copying it from the character map.
Sorry about posting this on the wrong section on the forum. It wont happen again.

not always! if you go past (i think its) 256th character you have to find the numbers to press, by taking the number from the bottom left usually sayes "U+" then taking that number (in hex) and converting it to decimal (eassiest way is to use Calculator [view>scientific... then click "hex" in the top left corner of the pad then type the number then click "dec"]) then press "ALT" with those numbers (in decimal) and it should output the number (remember dont put a 0 at the begining of it like most of them have you do, just type it as it is)

Re: Some question on ASCII(i think)
There is no 256th ascii character. They go up to 255.
I made a DrawPoker game in QB using line characters, and the 4 image characters of the card suits. Didn't look bad at 320 x 200.
Also had fun with the bell character. Used to use Net Send to sound like a jackpot. The boss would think that someone was playing a game!
