[Resolved] Thread moved but inaccesible?
I sometimes see threads that have been moved, they say "Moved: " at the start (all good so far), and I click to have a look at them, and I get a page saying "penagate, you do not have permission to access this page."
Is it because the thread has been deleted? If so, then it's a possible vBulletin bug, because the thread is still present in the forum list (along with the "Moved:" tag).
Here's one of those threads, I saw it in Classic VB today. The title sounded funny

Re: Thread moved but inaccesible?
The thread you mentioned has been deleted, as it was in violation of the AUP.
It arguably should not have stayed in the forum list as "moved", but was left as such so that the thread poster (who is a new member) can see that action was taken.
We do not usually permanently delete threads or posts that violate the AUP, in case there is a disagreement as to whether or not it should have been deleted. If a member tells us they think it should not have been removed, we can discuss it with quotes from the thread/post.
Thanks for letting us know

Re: Thread moved but inaccesible?
Wouldn't it be better to PM the member who started the thread instead of leaving it in the thread list?
Also, I clicked on a link a few minutes ago to a thread that Martin said he deleted and I got the message "Invalid thread specified" which sounds more appropriate than the message I got before. Is it that the message "you don't have permission" means the thread is visible to mods/thread starter, but no-one else?

As the member is new they may not have worked out how to use PM's yet; but as mentioned before it is debateable if we used the best method in this situation.

"Invalid thread specified" means that the thread has been permanently deleted,
the "you do not have permission" message means that it still exists but is not visible to members (only to Mod's/Admin's).
