Read Barcode

OK. I have a little app created with a button and a text box and I have successfully installed it on my scanner. Problem. When I pull the trigger nothing happens(No lights..nothing). I have a sample program that was on the scanner that works fine...my form...doesn't work. Is there anything I have to do to the scanner or the application to let it know it is receiving data from the scanner? (eg a trigger pull event)

generally if you set the focus to the text box and then press the scanner it will fill the textbox with the barcode.


to check if the scanner is working open the wordpad on the device and see if it scans barcodes into this. If this is working fine then it will work on the text box
