No idea how fast my line is....But isn't their calculation wrong? I thought 200Kb was 204800bytes and not 200000bytes.

Nope, 200KB is 200000 bytes. 200KiB is 204800 bytes.

So I guess there is two options here. They say one thing, and mean an other thing. Or they are wrong. KB with a capital K actualy means 2^10. Thats it...

Re: Speedtest...
*Officially*
kB = 1000 bytes
KiB = 1024 bytes
KB = non-existent
But in *common* usage
KB is taken to mean 1024 bytes or 1000 bytes.
Since there is no official definition for KB, then I'm not wrong, but Note isn't right either

KB = Non-existing? Did you see my link at all. It say there that it IS existing, and that they made the big K to destinguis it from the small k....

Re: Speedtest...
Sure I saw it, here is a direct quote from it
However, the K prefix was never formally mandated and it is not used consistently.
There you go. I did say *officially* non-exisiting.

Re: Speedtest...
And the reason it is not used consistently is because of n00bs like those who made that test page. Everyone should follow the rules no matter if it is a written rule or unwritten rule. They are wrong.. ...they should improve their spelling...
