My machine at work takes upwards of 2 minutes to shut down every night so I came up with a solution!! Its SO satisfying to just rip the power cable out the back. Very cathartic, you should try it. Much faster too.

Not if it's a laptop. Then you're stuck.

Has anyone ever tried running a UK computer on the USA power jumper? Would it just blow the fuse or would the whole PSU go poop itself?

This is funny. Actually we have our own office before only programmers in the room and we got bored so we decided to watch movie w/ the use of the projector and we're using laptop. Quite of a sudden our boss enter the office and we all get panic affraid to have an early vacation. the laptop was near me and i'm out of my mind that i just close the lapton and w/ out knowing that the projector was still on. There the story goes so we move up leaving our own office and join the sales department. Now were just in cubicle.

I've had to pay a lot of attention to things like this over the last few weeks. If you look on the power adapters to most electical appliances, they will say something like Input: 100v - 240v. They're the ones that are okay to use because the voltage is in the range

    Is that what you mean?
