£20 for repairs in labour for fitting a spindle... and whatever the spindle costs on top of that, i think i'll just fit it myself...

Its a Dual Suspension Mountain Bike, 21" Wheels, Shimano gears... all the usual stuff, lol
(Can't actually remember what its caled in proper terms, it is 4 years old...still works exceptioanlly well, apart from the rear-axle... )

21 inch wheels, are you a circus midget?

Mine has 26" wheels (20" frame). A few weeks back a bolt fell out of my swingarm, didn't notice until I washed it! Luckily that was a few days before the free 6 week service.

Had it about 8 weeks now, done about 375 miles on it!!

    Bikes rule.

Same as mine then. Saw some mean tyres in the shop the other day 26" x 2.3 ! Knobbly as hell, probably no good for road riding though Hardcore.

Same thing with a muscle car. They seem to run BETTER if you bead on them, OCCASIONALLY!

My ride is still in the shop. They are getting the manufacturer involved because it might be a product fault with the whole range. What a pain in the assets.

I want a different model as a replacement though this one has been nothing but trouble.

    *Grrrrrr*

    Re: Broken my bike :'(

I usually do a 16 mile road/Xcountry ride 3 times a week before work. The terrain isn't that harsh, 60% of it is road anyway. The rest is farm tracks (complete with God's own potholes). Its a mountain bike after all, no mountains round here.

Do you reckon I have the right to demand another model as a replacement? They never said it had to be the same model but I think they'll try to fob me off with repairs to my old bike.

Of course you have the right to demand another model, specially if that one is defective... and a possible risk to your health.

Demand another model, or get your money back

You've never been cycling in an Australian summer. 20 kms in 35° Celcius I was buggered. And then I had to ride home

BMXs are for people that can't understand how gears work.

nope, they are better then 20stone heavyweight mountain bikes.

BMXs's are made for bouncing up and down curbs, ive never had one BMX break before

Yet i had a mountain bike and it rusted away after 6 months

BMX jockey: "Hey ma, look at me, I'm bouncing up and down curbs like an Avril Lavigne fan"

We had a major storm down here in Derby. There was one really bright flash followed less than a second later by the loudest sound I've ever heard. I reckon it must have been less than 500 metres from my house. It was like being at a rock concert near the speakers when you feel your whole ribcage shake.

    Absolutely fantastic

    Haha, that made me laugh

The storm was a gud 'un, thing is the grass has dried out again over here... a bit strange if you ask me, its not as hot today as it was yesterday, or i've got used to it, one of the two.

The office is about 600 degrees C. The fans are just pushing hot air around (well that's what they do anyway, but to be precise they are not inducing a sufficient wind-chill effect)

My backroom is at 26C, not good, but thats with the back door wide open, all windows open, and my mum cutting the grass outside... lol

Good Luck with the wind chill effect, if all else fails find a refridgerator and fall asleep in it
