vb.NET Error while compiling project

hi guys,

I installed .net in my system. first day it was running fine. but from the next day onwards when i try to compile a project it gives a error.

"unhandled exception in system.drawing.dll". can u guys help me out. If the form does not have any controls then no error msg is displayed and the form is displayed.

The samething happened again and again all the times, when i reinstalled the .net and .net framework.

when there r no controls on the form then it gets executed. means only empty form can be displayed. even if i place any label then i get the error..

i have not installed any third party controls .

its my guess that i get the error bcos of installation. i have even reinstalled my operating system and installed with other .net cd set...

if you have since re-installed your OS then my suggestion will poob not work. My suggestion would have been to try a system restore back to the day you first installed the program, when it was working... im not so sure that will work now seeing as the new OS??? can u try that

Try installing the .NET framework ontop of itself. I've never seen this error before and it shouldn't be present in the framework, otherwise there'd be a patch for it.

What kind of a re-install did you do? Repair or full reinstall? (Remove then Install)

i tried with installing framework on top again but it did not worked .. anyhow thanks 4 the sugg.

i tried full reinstalling and repairing too, neither made any difference. only full reinstalling allows me to run at that particular time thats all. thank you.

i googled the problem. it seems many have the problem but none of the sites have solution for it. if any guys have got any more ideas or suggesstions then please do post reply. thanks ...
