Thread: Snow (Noise)

    Hi!

    Anybody know how to make the "snow" effect a TV makes when you pull the antenna?

    I've tried Pset with different colors on random positions. That makes a good snow effect, but is REALLY slow. I thought of creating the "Snow" once, then looping the pallette? Is that any idea? This is how I used to make snow on my (ahem) Amiga and C64....

    Any ideas are welcome...

    Look up the direct memory access demo on this page

    I guess you just loop trough all pixels and set a random grey value to each like this: int(rnd*256)*&H10101
    Use
    writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
    writing haskell makes your life easier:
    reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
