Permanently Uncheck The "Remember Me?" Check Box

I accidentally forgot to uncheck the remember me check box on the login screen a bit ago, and much to my dismay, I discovered that I was auto logged in whenever I opened the site.

This is not a good thing as far as I'm concerned. I fixed the issue by deleting the cookie that gets created when you do check that box, but I was wondering if there was a way to change the default from checked to unchecked.

I'm certain that some members enjoy the auto login feature and that is good. For them, all they have to do is check it once, and forget it. For those of us to do not wish to be auto logged in, we have to uncheck it every single time.

    Thanks.

No...I have an exclusive laptop which I take with me to and from work, and my computer room at home is always locked if I'm not in it.

But the whole concept of auto login to anything seems rift with disasterous possibilities.

A majority of people prefer to have the autolog in set on.

    Sorry.

    Brad!

I am not 100% sure, but I don't think that answeres his question.

If you want to be autologged in, then you only change (not even change) the value ONCE. But if you prefer not to get autologed in. Then you have to un-tick EVERY time you log in. So if the check box was un-ticked by default. Then it would be easier for those that don't want auto log on, but more or less no difference for those that are all ready auto loged on, or want it in the future.

Oddly enough, I think I agree with NoteMe (mark this day down in history!) ... It's kinda like the RonCo Rotisserie... you set it and forget it.... but those who don't want to be "remembered" have to untick it every time.... Almost seems like a no-brainer to me....

But what do I know? I'm just a gnome.

Use VB-Forums, and never log in, for those times you wish to be in an unloggedin mode.
Elsewise, Use VBForums when you wish to be logged in.
