Is it possible to upgrade a hard drive in a lapt top? I have a laptop with a 20 gb harddrive and would like to see about getting a bigger one. any help would be great.

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to see it, do all the other trees make fun of it?

Of course. Hard drives in laptops are much smaller (and slower) than conventional IDE HDD. From memory, I think a laptop hard drive is powered by the controller interface.
They are also slightly more expensive. Always consult your laptop manual for how to replace the hard drive (or if you don't have one, check the manufacturer's web site).

Re: Quick laptop question
Why are they slower? because they are required to take up less space

Re: Quick laptop question
Well, I'd imagine that the power requirements are different for drives that spin faster, and laptops often run on batteries. They also are more rugged that desktop drives.
