    God's own cycling route.

6:30am, 3 degrees celsius, breezy, sunny. Unbeatable biking conditions + teh uber rox0r bix0r.

    Utterly fantastic.

I like it better in the forest when it rains. More stones and roots (is that what you call the "feet" of the trees) and you get all muddy and your face looks like someone stuffed your head in the toilet after you took a dump...

    Re: God's own cycling route.

That's a great picture. Nice and tranquil. My ride would not look nearly so nice, too many houses, too much pavement, too much of a desert.

NoteMe would appreciate the mud, though. We have some particularly sticky clay-mud out here. In a 100 meters or so, you can actually cake enough mud onto a bike that the breaks, chain, sprockets, everything, disappears into a large fairly-solid lump of brown. I have learned not to go off the pavement even briefly after a rain storm, the damage done is too great to justify it.

However, it is a thick mud, too. Small pellets of it are thrown off from my tires. Since I have no fenders, the pellets thrown from my rear tire tend to go up my back. Often, they are thrown up under my shirt, which stops them. They then roll down my back, and into my shorts. This gets just a bit uncomfortable over time.

heheh. I'm spending money on my bike all the time.

Bar ends, mudguards, wireless speedo, lights. Now I've seen some sweet ergonomic grips, clip pedals and some sexy Shimano footwear. I am broke though

You mention a wireless speedo. I don't know about you brits, but a speedo is an article of clothing over here, and I, for one, don't care to know about it.

Woss, you need to create a new thread called: "Pimp my bike"

    Maybe even a TV show.

    Sweet!

Yes I mean speedometer!! "Pimp My Bike" sounds like a wicked idea. I'd have a "worst bike crash" segment where suicidal speed freaks like me film themselves breaking the speed limit on 40mph country roads and falling off! I've done 300miles on this rig and I haven't fallen off it yet, its starting to pray on my mind somewhat. Its only a matter of time.

I hit 41mph this morning but I bottled it and got on the anchors. :noobz: That road is too twisty. There is an electric speed sign on that road (like you get on motorways) that tells you how fast you are going as you approach it. It hasn't been able to register me yet (I'm probably not reflective enough for its laser) *stealth bike*

Cycle with a mirror and hold it up as you go past the speed sign (at 41mph).

Ohhh...I would love that...then you know to appreciate NOT to stop the bike, because then you never mangage to get it to role again......and then go home, use the wather thingy with hard pressure and it is as good as new, and then take a hot shower, make some cacao, and go into the beed and snuggle with your GF.......life is loveable..

Well if u are in TOKYO... then its definitely crowded but I haven't been there, but on the others areas (like the one I'm in) especially near the countryside, you rarely get to see people just a lot of cars. LOL...

    and Old People on Bicycles...
At first I even thought that JAPAN is the best place for bicycling, because there are certain portions of the road entirely for it.. yet I haven't been to other places, I can only compare it to my homeland which is basically day and night.

Yeah I used to. Sure I didn't have a €10 bike like you though.....but you know, the same type as you use on cars. That doesn't ruin the painting, but the car is still getting clean...works perfect. You just have to have the bike a warm place afterwards so it doesn't rust....
