    USB 2.5" HARD DRIVE HDD CASE

    ok well i want to get this case but someone here might have to give me alittle info about this. what i want to do is get an external hardrvie to back up all of my files. i have around 16 cd-r's, and i wish to put them all on an extrenal HD. so is that what i want to get, i kno i have to buy my own HD but thats not goinna be the problem. does anyone own one of these ? is it as simple as i think - put in a HD, plug it to my desktop, and then transfer files ? do i have to install an OS on it too ? can i do all that with USB ? thank for help please -justin

    ps - is ther enething agiasnt linkin because this si what i was looking at on ebay....

    thats right. just put in the hard drive, plug it up via USB and power, and your done. Windows reads it as Removable drive.

    Forgot to mention, of course, you may need to format the drive, but that should go without saying.

    and i would do that by just pluggin and using something like fdisk or format ? or shoul i use something else.?

    so now that i did more research on this, i really dont think i can find any one of these cases local. do they seel them at retail stores, or is my best bet still to look on ebay. i called a couple of local stores around here, and one didnt know what i was talkin about. has anyone here ever seen one not online ? cos i really wouldnt mind not payin shimpping fees, cos then is like 50$...hmmm ?

    At least here in Norway you can buy them anywhere where they sell PCs. Like for the Dixon group (if you have that in america too).

    im not sure about Dixon group, im think mor elike bestbuy or circuit city..?
