VSS or not VSS ...
Hi !
I've resently changed job and here they are programming VB6/VB.NET/SQL Server etc..., And they don't use VSS, they have once try it and they have lose source code by probably miss using it or else. And now they realy don't want to use it anymore.
In my part i reely like to use VSS. And i'm speech less want it time to try to convince them to give VSS a second chance.
So do you thing they are right by not using VSS ?

Re: VSS or not VSS ...
The really need to use VSS or some other brand of version control software. If they lost data before they might not have been
backing up the vss db. VSS also has the Analyze and Fix utility that is something like Access' Compact and Repair. We have only experienced
one instance where we had a corrupt project in VSS. We used A&R and fixed the issue. VSS is made by M$ and VS is made by M$ so no
one should be able to do it better to get it to integrate with VS.
